The ivy caps and newsboys from Ireland's Jonathan Richard are called New Classics in the hat industry. It's something about the clean lines of his men's hats like The DublinerTrilby (a knock-out in black and white tweed), and The Mourne Linen Walker, a good-weather walking hat accented with a small feather. Compare with The Original Irish Walking Hat, if you like. It's the real deal in tweed. A bit more lambs wool in the shape of traditional newsboy caps can be found in the The Dobby and the satin-lined Baker Boy.

It's always difficult to choose between the traditional ivy caps offered by Jonathan Richard, but the pattern used in the 100% wool County Cap has got to be my newest favorite. Predominately brown in tone, there are muted blues, greens and rusts woven in. If it's silk-lined linen you're seeking, The Snap Linen Ivy is likely the cap for you. I also don't remember a baseball cap that I've liked as well as The JR Sport Cap done up in herringbone with a pre-curved bill. Well worth the price.
Back this season is The Galway Wool Shirt Jacket, and what an incredible shirt this is! Hand woven with leather covered buttons, this is quality men's wear (and doesn't cost as much as a trip to Ireland). I like to pair my Galway shirt with that JR spun yarn ivy cap, The Vintage County, or sometimes I really mix it up and wear The Gatsby, my Irish worsted wool newsboy in plaid.
Distinctive. Superior. Jonathan Richard. (And me.)
